On Monday in Abuja, a swearing-in ceremony for the new Head of Service took place before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The ceremony included a tribute to the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, who was lauded by President Tinubu for her exemplary service.
President Tinubu praised Yemi-Esan’s tenure, highlighting her dedication, loyalty, and vision. He emphasized that her leadership brought significant reforms and set a high standard for efficiency and transparency in Nigeria’s public administration.
Tinubu expressed profound gratitude for her remarkable impact and unwavering commitment.
Following the swearing-in, the new Head of Service, Walson-Jack, committed to advancing existing reforms and fostering innovation within the service.
In her farewell address, Yemi-Esan urged civil servants to maintain professionalism and prioritize the nation’s progress above all else, believing this approach will lead Nigeria to its destined greatness.
The Council then entered a closed-door session, which included the newly appointed Head of Service.
