President Tinubu Pledges Poverty Alleviation with Wage Increase and Military Support

Amid growing criticism over high government spending, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, asserted that his administration is responsive to the economic challenges facing Nigerians.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Course 32 of the National Defence College in Abuja, Tinubu highlighted the newly implemented N70,000 minimum wage as evidence of the government’s sensitivity to citizens’ needs.

Tinubu acknowledged the socio-economic difficulties confronting the country and emphasized that the administration is actively working to alleviate these issues.

He also addressed concerns over crude oil theft, promising that security forces will intensify efforts to curb the menace and enhance economic stability.

In addition, Tinubu expressed his commitment to supporting the Nigerian military, pledging to ensure that they remain well-funded and equipped to protect the nation’s sovereignty.

The event also saw the graduation of 111 participants from the National Defence College, according to the Commandant, Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Olotu.
