Tragedy Strikes Akoko Anglican Grammar School: Student Stabbed to Death

A devastating incident has shaken the Akoko Anglican Grammar School community in Ondo State, Nigeria, after a senior secondary school student, Habib Salau, was allegedly stabbed to death by a female student, Sandra, following a scuffle outside the school premises.

The altercation occurred after school hours, resulting in Sandra stabbing Habib with a knife obtained from a student of Ajiroke Technical School.

According to eyewitnesses, Sandra had obtained the knife from another student, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear. The body of the late Habib has been deposited at the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Ikare.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a thorough investigation.
Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo assured that justice would be served, stating, “We will leave no stone unturned in uncovering the circumstances surrounding Habib’s tragic death”.

The school community is reeling in shock, with concerns about student safety and escalating violence. Many are calling for increased security measures and counseling services to address the underlying issues that led to this tragic incident.

As the investigation continues, the community remains on edge, seeking answers and justice for Habib’s tragic death.
