A devastating truck accident occurred in Ayetoro Market, Lagos, on Monday, resulting in the loss of at least three lives.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the tragedy was caused by brake failure.
The truck, descending from Ita-Opo, lost control and hit a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before crashing into the market. The impact was severe, claiming three lives and causing significant damage.
LASTMA officials swiftly responded to the scene, diverting traffic to ensure smooth vehicular movement. A tow truck was also deployed to evacuate the affected vehicles.
The bodies of the victims have been taken to the morgue at Epe General Hospital. Authorities are working to investigate the incident and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
