Governor Adeleke Empowers 10,000 Youths Through Imole Corps

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has inaugurated 10,000 residents into the Imole Youth Corps as part of efforts to combat unemployment in the state.

Speaking at the induction ceremony held at Freedom Park, Osogbo, on Thursday, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling youth joblessness.

Governor Ademola Adeleke stated that the gathering marked a continuation of his administration’s efforts to create job opportunities for the state’s youth. He announced that 10,000 young people, drawn from all 332 political wards, had been engaged to provide essential services in health, security, environment, and education.

He emphasized that the newly enrolled Imole Youth Corps members would receive training to deliver support services across various grassroots sectors.

Urging the corps members to demonstrate dedication in their assigned roles, the governor stressed the need for them to justify the confidence placed in them. He also acknowledged the widespread unemployment across different sectors, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to addressing the issue.

Governor Ademola Adeleke directed the Commissioner for Youth Development, Moshood Olagunju, to implement a performance evaluation system to ensure the program’s objectives are achieved. He assured the public that the activities of the Imole Youth Corps would be regularly assessed to maintain effectiveness.

Addressing the newly inducted corps members, Commissioner Olagunju congratulated them and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of the newly established youth engagement initiative.
