The Africa Leadership Foundation (ALF), in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), is proud to announce the launch of Cohort 3 of its Agribusiness Export Readiness Training Programme.
This transformative initiative is meticulously designed to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout Africa with the essential tools and expertise needed to flourish in both regional and international agribusiness export markets.
This new cohort will welcome 175 ambitious SMEs from 12 countries, with a particular emphasis on empowering businesses in East Africa, alongside select participants from other regions. The program will be delivered through a dynamic hybrid model, seamlessly blending the flexibility of virtual sessions with the immersive experience of in-person training in Kampala, Uganda.
The Agribusiness Export Readiness Training Programmeaims to enhance SMEs’ export readiness and global competitiveness, boost intra-African trade and economic integration, and empower SMEs to leverage AfCFTA and ATG opportunities. Beyond the core training, participants will benefit from comprehensive post-training support. This includes access to expert export advisory services, tailored trade finance solutions, and specialized guidance on meeting stringent quality assurance standards.
“We are excited to launch Cohort 3 of the Agribusiness Export Readiness Training. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to empowering SMEs to not only access but also excel in regional and global markets, thereby driving sustainable economic growth and development across the African continent.”stated Dr. Olumide Ajayi, Executive Director, ALF. “
