The long-standing feud between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz reached boiling point at a press conference ahead of their highly anticipated showdown in Texas on Saturday.
Itrybe understands that the conference quickly descended into chaos as a brawl erupted between the rival camps on stage.
Tensions were already running high as Paul, 26, and Diaz, 38, squared off, but things took a violent turn when their security teams clashed. Shoving escalated into punches being thrown, leaving the press conference in disarray.
Paul took to Instagram to address the altercation, stating, “S*** popped off, Nate’s team started throwing punches at my security guards.
“My security guards dropped his team, and it’s just a little warm-up for what’s going to happen Saturday night.”
However, the drama did not end there. Paul later claimed that Nate’s team had initiated the violence and even alleged that one of Diaz’s team members ended up in the hospital with stitches.
Paul seemed unimpressed by the incident, mocking the opposing camp as “fake gangsters.”
The upcoming fight is set to be a significant moment for Paul, who returns to the ring after his loss to Tommy Fury in February.
Instead of opting for a rematch, he chose to face MMA veteran Nate Diaz, who will be making his boxing debut.
Paul has been confident in his preparation and expressed his determination to emerge victorious. During an open workout, he vowed to “KILL” Diaz, standing firm on his claim and asserting that he is in the best shape of his life.
“I’m feeling good, and when I’m in the shape like this and I have the proper time to prepare, you’re going to see a different version, the best version of Jake Paul you’ve ever seen,” Paul boasted.
