EWP Unveils New Structure, Celebrates 5years Of Impact

NIGERIA– As part of its five years celebration of impact, Education with Purpose (EWP), a non-governmental organisation aimed at raising a purpose driven generation, has unveiled its new structure to better reach African children through relevant partnerships and projects.

The restructuring which includes a change of name and appointment of the Board would set the organisation on a new pedestal and increase its opportunity to positively affect more lives in Africa.

The unveiling event themed “Grooming the Potential of an African Child” will hold on Wednesday, 27 July 2022 virtually, to enlighten young African minds and stir their hearts toward networking, volunteering, and innovations that promote the wellness of African children.

Guest Speakers include Michael Sulemana, Founder & CEO of MIKEL Foundation; Ms. Atamelang Free, Founder & Managing Director of Skin Free Soaps; and Oladimeji Sodeke, Founder, Derine Media.

According to the Chairman, Gbenga Oyewole, the new name as registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is the African Child’s Education & Development Network (ACEDEN) to manage administrative roles, while Education With Purpose (EWP) and Africa Rural Educational Outreach (AREO) will be in charge of projects for the organisation.

“We have seen a lot of potentials in the African child but many of which are not fully expressed because they lack the right mentorship. This is one out of the many gaps we are set to bridge and to help the African child irrespective of social status identify and harness their potentials,” he added.

The Board members include Dimeji Sodeke, Team Lead for Education with Purpose (EWP); Oluwatosin Areo, Team Lead, African Rural Educational Outreach (AREO); Gbenga Akindele, Media Lead and Tosin Adelakun, Financial Secretary.

The organisation’s projects since its inception are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 4 “Quality Education”, which includes donation of library in Ghana, and several outreaches to pupils and students as well as empowerment training for young adults.
