The founder of Kaduna international film festival and Vice chairman Nigerian film festivals Association Audu Kashim Israel earlier today paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Minister for Tourism (Nigeria) Hon. Lola Ade-John.
The visit was to discuss areas of collaboration between KADIFF and the Ministry of Tourism in its upcoming programs and the 7th Kaduna international film festival scheduled to hold in August. Audu informed the Minister that each year during the festival tourism is part of the activities outlined and we are very much glad it has been very successful over the years. We have visited places like Fifth Chukker, Arewa house, Zazzau emirate among other tourist sites in the state and this year will not be different. The festival has also attracted Visitors from within and outside the country including film makers who have visited the state and did movies that are doing well on Netflix like the popular “Black book” which was partly shot in Kaduna state and “Queen Amina” the movie.
In response, the Minister expressed her joy and appreciation to the Founder of Kaduna international film festival for visiting her and commended his efforts in promoting culture and tourism in Northern Nigeria and the country at large and all he does for the youth and creatives in the region. I assure you the Ministry will support and identify with KADIFF and its activities. I also look forward to attending the film festival She said.
Audu was joined by Mr. Sunday Akende the special assistant to the founder of KADIFF and Engr. Zainab J. B. a member of the North central coordinators for the 7th Kaduna international film festival.
