GFud and Buka Limited, a fast-rising indigenous food and catering brand, on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025, officially unveiled its third outlet at Pero/Otubo Bus Stop, Agege, Lagos State, further strengthening its presence within the Lagos food service market.
The unveiling ceremony attracted customers, community members, and well-wishers, reflecting the brand’s growing popularity and trust built around quality, affordability, and strict hygiene standards.
Speaking during the event, Miss Fareedah Lawal Garu, Director, GFud and Buka Limited, highlighted the diversity of meals and services offered by the brand, noting that the company prides itself on variety, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
According to her, GFud and Buka offer a wide range of Nigerian delicacies including amala, assorted rice dishes, signature breakfast meals such as yam and egg combinations, white rice options, and specially prepared meals tailored to African tastes. She also disclosed that the brand produces its own drinks and baked products, including egg rolls, sugar and jam doughnuts, chicken pies, breads, and a variety of ceremonial cakes for birthdays and weddings.
“We also do pastries, cakes, signature bread, and special rice orders, especially during festive periods like Christmas. In addition, we provide outdoor catering services and handle special orders for companies, banks, and corporate organizations,” she said.
Miss Garu further revealed that GFud and Buka operate multiple outlets across Agege, with delivery services supporting its growing customer base, while plans are ongoing to expand sales networks and improve service efficiency.
Also speaking at the event, Alhaja Sonubi Garu, wife of the MD in an emotional reflection on the journey so far, described the opening of the third branch as a testimony of God’s grace and teamwork.
“Today has been very impressive. We thank God for the dedication of our team, from the front to the very last person. This is not the beginning, but another phase of growth,” she said.
She emphasized that success in the food business goes beyond cooking, noting that it requires discipline, capital, personnel management, and a strong commitment to food safety.
“Food business is capital intensive. Hygiene, structure, staff training, and food security are critical. A small mistake can lead to food poisoning, so we ensure our environment is clean, safe, and healthy,” she stated.
Alhaja Garu stressed that the brand is driven by integrity and the fear of God, which reflects in its food preparation process.
“We don’t add what we cannot eat ourselves. We don’t rely on unnecessary ingredients to make food tasty. We go natural and organic. That is what makes us unique,” she added.
In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer, Garu Technologies Limited/GFud and Buka Limited, Mr. Lukman Abiodun Garu, described the venture as a family-owned business built on the philosophy of offering good food at affordable prices.
“GFud simply means good food. Our slogan says it all — cheap food is good food when you eat good food,” he said.
