IKEJA, LAGOS -Motorists and pedestrians have been experiencing major inconvenience due to the ongoing gridlock on Agidingbi Road in Ikeja. The situation has been exacerbated by the ongoing construction work in the area, which has reduced the road to a single lane.
Speaking to our correspondent, a resident in the area, Mrs. Funke Adeyemi, expressed her frustration with the situation, saying, “It’s been terrible. I spend over two hours every day just trying to get to work. The construction work has made things even worse. I hope the government can find a solution soon.”
Efforts to speak to the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report. However, sources within the ministry have indicated that plans are underway to ease the traffic situation on Agidingbi Road, including the possibility of opening up alternative routes for motorists.
The situation on Agidingbi Road has become a major source of concern for residents and commuters in the area. It is hoped that the government will take urgent steps to alleviate the traffic gridlock and ensure that motorists and pedestrians are not unduly inconvenienced.
