UK- King Charles III has been crowned during a majestic and deeply religious ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London.
He was honored alongside his wife, Queen Camilla.
Members of the royal family and world leaders were in attendance for the two-hour service, after a procession from Buckingham Palace through the streets of the British capital kicked off the festivities.
Police arrested a number of anti-monarchy protesters near the procession route, after controversially promising a “robust” approach to demonstrators.
Later, the King will make a customary appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony. A flypast involving more than 60 aircraft is planned.
