Lagos Lagoon Incident, LASEMA Accuses DSS Of Efforts Frustration

The Lagos State Government through its Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has revealed that ongoing efforts to search for the lady that jumped into the lagoon from the third mainland bridge is being frustrated by the Directorate of State Services (DSS) due to its involvement in the case.

It lamented the fact that the DSS has held on to the driver of cab hailing service that drove the lady identified as Adetutu Adedokun, a staff of the agency.

This has hindered emergency officials from having access to him and getting other details that could aid their operations on water.

The Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

Oke-Osanyintolu, meanwhile, stated that the emergency officials, after searching the waterways, have adjusted their operations to recovery exercises on the waterways.
