Nigerian Air Force Kills Wanted Terrorist Kingpin, Five Others in Kaduna

Special Forces of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) killed a notorious terrorist leader, Mustapha Abdullahi, and five of his gang members during a shootout on Sabon-Birni Road, Kaduna, on Saturday.

The terrorists were intercepted while allegedly planning attacks and kidnappings in nearby communities.

Director of NAF Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, confirmed the incident on Sunday. He stated that a team from the NAF 413 Force Protection Group was dispatched after receiving intelligence about the terrorists’ location near Sabon Gida Forest in Igabi Local Government Area.

Upon engaging the terrorists, who were on motorcycles, the Special Forces met the assailants’ gunfire with superior firepower, resulting in the elimination of all six terrorists. Recovered items included five den guns, a locally fabricated sub-machine gun, ammunition, charms, lighters, SIM cards, and phone cases.

Gabkwet commended the troops for their efforts and urged them to continue their operations to secure Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and surrounding areas.
