The National leadership of Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) Branch of NUPENG has commiserated with the families of the victims, as well as the Government of Delta State, affected by the unfortunate tanker explosion.
PTD expressed this in a heartfelt statement jointly signed by its National Chairman, Comrade Lucky Osesua, his two deputies, Comrade Dayyabu Garga, Comrade (Chief) Monday Moudebelu (ONWA) and the National Secretary, Comrade (Dr) Humble Obinna Power on Monday in Abuja.
The Union leaders who conveyed their condolences to the people of Delta State, stated that their thoughts and prayers were with the affected families and the residents of the state at a time when the celebration of the new year was still on.
It is recalled that the unfortunate incident occurred in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, where at least five persons reportedly died, and properties were destroyed when a tanker carrying petrol lost control.
