Goodmus Learning Centre has offered over 25 Nigerian students scholarships to two Turkish Universities to study different courses.
Speaking during a media briefing the Chief Executive Officer of Goodmus Learning Centre, Adekunle Badmus said over 1000 students have been admitted into Turkey/ Cyprus university thus far and over 25 will be joining them on Monday, February 20, 2023.
Badmus who is also the convener of Quality but Affordable Education in Africa said the centre was interested in helping Nigerian students secure admission to tertiary institutions in Turkey where the government had subsidised education.
On why they chose Turkey as a country, Badmus said, “We offer scholarships to other universities in the UK, USA, Canada, and others but we chose Turkey because they are known for quality and affordable education. Most students want to travel abroad to study because of standards. They don’t have the financial capacity but Turkish education is affordable compared to others and considering the dollar rate.
Bamus urged the students to be good ambassadors of Nigeria when they arrive there and ensure they teach their mother tongue went they get there.
Buttressing, Nollywood actress, Mrs Esther Idowu Phillips, popularly Iya Rainbow, urged the students to be of good behaviour, hard working, deligent and be ready to explore every opportunity they get over there.
She also urged parents to enure they expose their kids beyound the four walls of Nigeria which is why they must be inducted into Goodmus centre.
