The Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF) has distributed some items to artisanal and small scale miners in Osun state with a view to supporting their businesses.
The distribution was led by officials from the SMDF, Prince Samuel A Aromolaran and Mr Danladi.
While responding to the gesture from the SMDF, the Executive of Miners Association of Nigeria, Osun State chapter under the chairmanship of Hon Mutiu Kareem Adubi appreciated the SMDF for the initiative which according to him would support the artisanal miners to a very large extent.
He thereafter seek support from the SMDF to provide more tools to enhance mechanized mining, so that there are no environmental degradation.
