President Bola Tinubu has voiced confidence in the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to drive national development and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s progress.
Speaking on Tuesday at the APC Caucus meeting at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu reiterated his dedication to the party’s Renewed Hope manifesto.
“We have the power to shape this country’s future and make a real difference. I appreciate what is happening globally—it serves as a reminder that Nigeria, as a great African nation, has the potential to build and contribute to the continent’s growth,” President Bola Tinubu said.
He emphasized the need to achieve food sovereignty, not just food security, to strengthen Nigeria’s position as a nation capable of driving Africa’s progress.
“I am a very happy man. The brighter days of this country are on the horizon. Things are improving, and the days of despair are behind us. We are looking forward to a more promising and prosperous future for our nation and our people.”
Reassuring party members of his commitment to delivering on his promises, Tinubu dismissed the pessimistic and unfounded criticisms directed at his administration. He also acknowledged the challenges Nigerians face due to some of the policies introduced under his leadership.
President Bola Tinubu stated that the fuel subsidy would have devastated the country, depriving citizens of the benefits of well-intended government interventions.
“Our commitment to delivering results remains steadfast despite the chorus of misguided, unfounded, and pessimistic claims from our detractors,” he said. “They will continue their criticisms, but we remain highly focused.”
Tinubu urged APC Caucus members to continue supporting his administration, emphasizing the need for patience and unity.
“Our strategic repositioning demands that we build on our successes and advance a forward-looking agenda that aligns with the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians.”
President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to the APC manifesto, progressive ideals, and strong leadership.
“I assure you that we are delivering on our promises. My dedication to our manifesto, progressive ideas, and core beliefs remains unwavering,” he said.
He praised APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for his leadership and the party’s electoral successes.
“I appreciate our party chairman. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. You have earned well-deserved accolades for your role in various elections. You are our pride—a diligent leader who has steered the party effectively alongside the working committee,” Tinubu added.
Meanwhile, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari (APC-Zamfara West) highlighted significant improvements in the security situation in Zamfara during the APC Caucus meeting.
