Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed he will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The 26-year-old England defender, heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid, described the decision as the “hardest” of his life.
After helping Liverpool clinch the Premier League title, Alexander-Arnold took to social media to share the news, stating, “After 20 years at Liverpool Football Club, now is the time for me to confirm that I will be leaving at the end of the season.”
The talented right-back, who made his senior debut in 2016 and racked up 352 appearances, scoring 23 goals, expressed his gratitude to the club and fans. “This club has been my whole life… the support and love I have felt will stay with me forever.”
Liverpool FC acknowledged Alexander-Arnold’s departure, saying, “Alexander-Arnold will depart with our gratitude and appreciation for his contribution during a sustained period of success.”
