SPORT- The Nigerian U-20 football team, also known as the Flying Eagles, will be playing friendlies against Benin and Niger Republic before they depart for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
The team is scheduled to leave for an extended training camp in Argentina on May 6, and the friendlies will be played next week.
Head coach Ladan Bosso mentioned that they plan to play against these two teams, even though they won’t be part of the World Cup.
“We plan to play against Benin and Niger Republics even though they won’t be part of the World Cup,” head coach, Ladan Bosso told reporters.
“We will also play some friendlies in Argentina for the team to blend with the foreign professionals.”
