The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said that women are more committed and trustworthy to work with.
He said this on his Twitter handle on Tuesday after he attended the Voice Of Women Conference at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
Obi stated that when he was the Governor of Anambra State, 40% of his cabinet was made up of women and that women do satisfactory work.
He went on to say that if elected, he will work with women and place them in positions of leadership so that they can maximise their potential.
He wrote, “I had 40% women in my cabinet in Anambra State because I have found out that women were far more committed and trustworthy. When you need work done and done satisfactory, get a woman to do it and you will not be disappointed.
“I am committed to making sure that I will carry women along, bring them to the leadership table where decisions are being made, and also allowing them to utilise their potentials for the betterment of Nigeria.”
