Popular broadcaster Crest fm’s former Head of Yoruba Unit, Olaide Abioye has been appointed as the station’s new Head of Programmes.
Abioye’s appointment followed the recent resignation of the former Head of Programmes (HOP), Mrs Omolola Akinbo from the services of the station.
While announcing the appointment of the new HOP, the station’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Adeolu Gboyega charged Mr Abioye to build on the very solid foundation laid by his predecessor, admonished all members of staff to cooperate with the new programmes head.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Olaide Abioye who thanked the top management of Crest FM for believing in his capacity to deliver in his new office, promised to do his best to keep up the good work.
Olaide who joined the station in the year 2020 from Gravity FM Igboho resumed as the station’s head of yoruba unit, and anchors several listeners choice programmes.
“Balogun yebewo” as he is foundly called by radio lovers is well known for his comical, spontaneous and descriptive style of presentation.
He is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, where he bagged his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Health studies and started his broadcasting career in 2008.
