In a thrilling LaLiga match, Real Madrid came from behind to defeat Valencia 2-1, thanks to a stunning late winner from Jude Bellingham.
The English midfielder made amends for an earlier penalty miss, scoring in the 95th minute to seal the victory.
Bellingham’s goal capped an incredible comeback from Real Madrid, who trailed 1-0 at halftime and were reduced to 10 men after Vinícius Júnior’s red card. However, the team’s spirit and determination paid off, with Luka Modric equalizing before Bellingham’s dramatic winner.
“I owed the team this goal,” Bellingham said in a post-match interview. “I felt like I was letting the team down when I missed the penalty. But my teammates were amazing, they told me to keep going, and that’s what I did.”
The win keeps Real Madrid top of the LaLiga table, two points ahead of Atlético Madrid and five points clear of Barcelona. The team will next face Deportiva Minera in the Copa del Rey third round on Monday.
