With just 23 days until the November 5 election, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are intensifying their campaigns in critical battleground states, seeking last-minute advantages in a tightly contested race.
New polling shows Harris struggling to gain traction among traditional Democratic voter demographics.
Harris visited North Carolina, addressing hurricane devastation and counteracting Trump’s claims of inadequate federal aid. President Joe Biden, meanwhile, assessed damage in Florida from Hurricane Milton, highlighting federal rescue and recovery efforts.
Trump campaigned in Arizona, focusing on border policies and immigration rhetoric. Recent polling reveals Harris underperforming among Latino voters, earning 56% compared to Trump’s 37%. She also faces challenges with Black male voters.
The latest NBC News national poll shows a 48-48% tie between Harris and Trump. Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt described the race as “a dead heat.”
Both candidates will hold campaign events in Pennsylvania, the largest swing state prize, on Monday.
