A Chief Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, has ordered the remand of three key individuals, including Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, in connection with a devastating stampede that occurred at a Christmas funfair in Bashorun, Ibadan. The tragedy resulted in the loss of multiple lives and left several others injured.
The defendants, who also include Oriyomi Hamzat, the CEO of Agidigbo FM, and Abdullahi Fasasi, the Principal of Islamic High School, were arraigned on a four-count charge for alleged offences under Section 324 of the Criminal Code.
