Five Abducted Children Rescued In Adamawa State

By Ezechie Awele- The Adamawa State police Command were able to rescue 5 male children that were Abducted and transported unlawfully from maiduguri, Borno State, to Mubi in Adamawa.

According to a statement that was issued by Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the rescue operation took place on September 13th, 2025.

The officers acted swiftly on the tip-off, the Area Commander in Mubi, Acp Marco Mancha, led a surveillance team that intercepted the children as they wandered around the streets of Mubi Town.

The rescued children were identified as Adamu Musa(16yrs), Suleiman Idris(10yrs), Suleiman Mohammed(10yrs), DaudaYahaya(11yrs), and Mohammed Alhassan(11yrs). All five boys according to the Area Commander, were residents of the Gwange area in Maiduguri, Borno State.

After investigations, The police announce that the indicated children were Abducted and taken from Maiduguri by a suspect named Aliga Suleiman, a resident of Sabom Layi, Gwange, who is currently on the run.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect, while the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has taken over the case for further investigation.

Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, commended the swift action of the Mubi Area Command and ordered a full investigation to ensure the suspect is brought to justice and the children are reunited with their families safely.

The Commissioner also reassured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property across Adamawa State.
