The African Democratic Congress has confirmed the successful submission of the nomination particulars of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal ahead of the 2027 general election.
The party announced that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been formally nominated as its presidential candidate, while former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi will serve as his running mate.
ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi disclosed the development in a statement posted on his X account on Tuesday night, describing it as another milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 polls.
“We are pleased to announce the successful upload of the names and particulars of our presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the INEC nomination portal,” Abdullahi stated.
He added that the submission represents another important step in the party’s campaign preparations.
“This marks another important step in our preparations for the 2027 general election and our commitment to offer Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, unity, and national renewal.”
The successful upload of candidates’ particulars to the INEC portal is a key stage in the electoral process, as political parties continue to complete the formal requirements for participation in the 2027 presidential election.
