American actress Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in Disney Channel’s popular Zombies franchise, has died at the age of 33.
Jeffery’s death was confirmed by her longtime talent manager, Carla Alexander, in a statement shared on social media. She died on September 1, 2026. No cause of death has been publicly disclosed.
Alexander described Jeffery as a “beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman” whose smile could light up any room. She also revealed that Jeffery had been part of Alexanders Talent Management since she was 12 and had remained with the agency for more than two decades.
Jeffery began her acting career as a child, making her film debut in Phat Girlz in 2006. She later appeared in television productions including iCarly, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up, Scream Queens, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Her breakthrough came in 2018 when she was cast as Bree, a cheerful Seabrook High cheerleader, in Disney’s Zombies. She reprised the role in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, while also voicing the character in animated Zombies projects.
News of her death has prompted emotional tributes from her former co-stars and colleagues. Zombies star Milo Manheim described Jeffery as one of the sweetest people he had ever met, while Chandler Kinney remembered her as a bright and kind presence. Disney also praised her talent, warmth and ability to connect with audiences.
Jeffery was born in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1993, and spent more than two decades working in entertainment. Her representatives have asked the public to respect the privacy of her family and loved ones as they mourn her death.
