Bobrisky Released from Prison After Six-Month Sentence for Naira Defacement

Nigerian socialite and crossdresser, Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye), has been released after serving a six-month prison sentence for defacing the naira, Nigeria’s currency. A viral video shows Bobrisky celebrating his freedom with friends.

The Lagos State Nigerian Correctional Service confirmed that Bobrisky was housed in a standard cell with other inmates, dispelling rumors of any special treatment. His release marks the completion of his sentence for the naira-related offense.

Bobrisky emerged from the facility in style, riding in a black jeep and dressed in a black jersey with blue jeans, complete with a full face of makeup and well-done hair.

In an interview with GoldMyneTV after his release, Bobrisky advised: “Follow the rules, abide by the law. Don’t spray money unless you want to become a landlord inside Kirikiri.”

He emphasized that even minor infractions can lead to imprisonment and expressed gratitude to his friends who supported him, stating, “I’m only focusing on my friends who were there for me, and I’m grateful. I’m not thinking about any other person.”
