Dense fog engulfed parts of north India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, on Saturday, severely impacting flight operations at the Delhi airport and causing traffic congestion on roads.
Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) announced on X that due to the dense fog, flight operations had been affected, and passengers were advised to contact their airlines for updated flight information.
IndiGo also issued a travel advisory, stating that departures and arrivals at the Delhi airport were temporarily on hold due to reduced visibility.
The fog cover reduced visibility to zero in several areas, forcing road traffic to move slowly. Commuters struggled to navigate through the thick fog, leading to road congestion.
The disruptions are expected to continue until the fog clears, and passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules.
