RELATIONSHIP: MY ADVENTURE WITH OLDER PARTNERS – EP. 2

There’s this saying that ‘people tend to dream about what’s on their mind before sleeping’, so I think you should know what my dream was about already, you gerrit? If you don’t gerrit (add it last line yourself). For the very first time in a long while I woke up smiling, the usual Sandra is the grumpy one in the morning, I went about my daily routine, after some hours I got a call from Steve , he started apologizing for not reaching out to me when he got home , he was out with his friends over night ( well, I was guilty too because I didn’t even bother to check up on him , so for that reason i will not dwell on the topic) , so I was like oh it’s fine , hope you’re cool? He started giving me the gist of his hangout with his friends, I was carried away with the conversation I lost track of time, at this time it was past 10am already I should probably be in church by that time or on my way. I told him I have to go now am late for church and we ended the call.

Later that day after church, I called him and we started gisting as usual, he tried to remind me about his request for dinner on Friday, I told him I will think about it.

Weekend is over, started a new week with happy vibes. I have an online business I run so I started my daily posting (that’s my own office, I have resumed work already on my bed). I wasn’t expecting him to call me because I feel Monday is a day everyone pretends to be serious even the jobless ones, so for someone that’s not jobless like him I was expecting him to be on his way to work or probably at work attending meetings already, but to my surprise he called and he was having normal conversation, gisting and laughing (in my head, nigga aren’t you meant to be at work) well, I thought that was in my head but I actually said it out loud unconsciously, he smiled and said he’s a tech guy and he works from home most times, I was like ohhh I get it now , he said lady Sandra business woman I am not jobless ma if that’s what you think , I smiled and we both joke over it .

Fast forward to Wednesday evening, someone was at my door knocking I went to the door to check, it was a dispatcher he dropped a box to me and asked me to sign, which I did …. I rushed in, opening the box with rush because I was so anxious to know what’s in the box, guess what guys? It was a chocolate box with a note in it, the note states ‘hi Sandra, I hope this box of chocolate makes you smile, if yes, please make me smile as well by accepting my request for the dinner on Friday, love and light Steve’.

At this point I was blushing and smiling like a baby , I picked my phone to do a video, Snapchat straight ( this is our way , every girl do this ) I sent the video to my single friend Betty just to tease her , she called me and was all about the whole awwww awwww, am like Aunty shut up enough of the awwww go and get a man( just a sub , nothing serious) she said I’m mad I should go and talk to my mystery boyfriend, that was when it done on me that I haven’t call Steve to thank him, i ended the call with Betty immediately and called Steve , he was hey baby , I hope you liked it? I smiled and before I could say anything he said I know you smiled which means you have to make me smile too so please say yes (well, I was going to accept the request already though) so I said yes, he was happy and he was going on and on about list on places he would like to go, at a point I had to start going through their Instagram pages to check them out, finally we agreed on a place.

Thursday, I called Betty to come over because I don’t know what to wear for the dinner, Betty got to my place and we started searching for nice dress to wear , at the point the whole room is upside down already, I have tried different clothes, then Betty made a statement ‘ I have never seen you trying to impress someone so much’ , that was when myself love mood set in ( I’m like girl, you’ve a beautiful face, you have the body too , anything place on that body is a banger) , you know you don’t have to wear skippy clothes to look sexy and hot, so I brought out one palazzo jumpsuit, so simple, classy yet sexy. Then Betty was like yes, that’s my girl and we both arranged on the jumpsuit.

Friday afternoon, he called inform me to be ready for 5pm, so as at 4:30pm I started my makeup, just something light though, at 5 pm I was set to go, as I was about to call him, I saw his text that he’s outside already (seems someone is trying to make up for his lateness the last time) I walked out and immediately he saw me, he stepped out of his car to open the door for me (how sweet and romantic, yeah).

Well, we fit to the restaurant it was nothing compared to what we saw on their IG page though, he wanted us to change location but I told him not to worry , we ordered our food and luckily their food was nice though, then I noticed Steve was gawking at me , as I was about to talk he said Sandra I actually do like you ( in my head am like oh no , don’t spoil our night with this typical Lagos boys pickup line), I smiled and he was like he’s going to the club with his friends will I like to join ( I love clubbing , so leggo), I said no problem but the problem is we can’t stay here till 10 or 11pm when your friends will be ready to go to club this is just past 8, he asked if I don’t mind going to his place to relax, ( well, there’s no problem with that , but is it safe? What if he tries to force his self on me? what if it’s all part of his plans?) he noticed the look on my face and he said, Sandra I know that look, common on I won’t kidnap you or rape you, share you location with your friends (hearing that I felt relieved a little) I smiled and I was set to go.

We started singing and we vibe in the car while driving to his place, we got to his apartment and it was nice, very comfy. He offered me wine and chips, he went inside to change and when he got back, I couldn’t take my eyes off him, Gosh!!! Clean skin, broad arms, well shaved armpit. He came close and was like hey what’s wrong? Are you okay? If you don’t feel comfortable, we can leave now, I said it’s fine no problem, I couldn’t help it but kiss those lips, I faced him and I kissed him (yeah that was crazy, I know) it was like he wanted the same thing too, he didn’t stop me and we continue (daughter of Zion is losing it already, pant is soaked 😂), he reached for my…….
